Thank you for your interest in enrolling at Broadbeach State School. We have provided the below information to answer our frequently asked questions.
Catchment area
The Enrolment Management Plan of Broadbeach State School was gazetted on 25 October 2013. Please refer to the Catchment area page for more detailed information. You will need to provide two documents to prove your residential address with your application.
Completion of an Enrolment form and agreements will be required to enrol into our school.
Enrolment packs are available from our school office or complete the Enrolment Enquiry Form, enrolment documentation will be sent to you.
Proof of Age
A proof of age document (such as an original passport or birth certificate) will also be required for students who are enrolling into our school. Students who have previously enrolled in a Queensland state school will not be required to provide a proof of age document.
Interview Appointment
After submitting your completed enrolment package, proof of residence documentation, proof of age, and recent academic reports, your application will be verified. Following verification an enrolment interview will be arranged for a Thursday morning. Your child or children will need to attend this appointment. It is an opportunity for our Administration staff to determine which class is best for your child to be placed in and their current level of achievement. Allow around 30 minutes for this appointment. Commencement date confirmed for the following Monday. At the first week of each term an interview will not be required. Please present to administration for yoru childs class room allocation and direction.
Prep
There is no interview process for initial Prep enrolment unless you have specific concerns about your child. Most general enquiries will be addressed at our parent information sessions arranged in the year prior to enrolling your Prep child.
