Thank you for choosing Broadbeach State School to enrol your child. We hope the information below answers your questions.
The School Enrolment Management Plan of Broadbeach State School was gazetted on 25 October 2013. Please refer to the Catchment area page for more detailed information. You will need to provide two documents to prove your residential address with your application.
Completion of an Enrolment form and agreements will be required to enrol into our school.
Proof of Age
A proof of age document (such as an original passport or birth certificate) will also be required for students who are initially enrolling into our school. Students who have previously enrolled in a Queensland state school will not be required to provide a proof of age document.
At the time of submitting your forms an appointment will be arranged for a Wednesday morning. Your child or children will need to attend this appointment also if they have previously been enrolled in school. It is an opportunity for our Administration staff to decide which class is best for your child to be placed in and their current level of achievement and/or maturity. Allow around 30 minutes for this appointment.
There is no interview process for initial Prep enrolment unless you have specific concerns about your child which may assist us to transition them into school life. Please advise us when submitting your forms if you require an appointment regarding your Prep child starting school. Most general enquiries will be addressed at our parent information sessions arranged in the year prior to enrolling your Prep child.
