The Mathematics Excellence Program at Broadbeach State School offers an intellectually stimulating opportunity for students excelling in Mathematics from Years Three to Six. It is an integral component of our differentiation strategy, designed to assist classroom teachers in catering to the unique needs of every student. Admission to this program is based on analysis of data and classroom observations, targeting the highest achievers within each cohort. This selection process is led by the Heads of Subschool in consultation with the Classroom Teacher and Extension Teacher. The program's flexibility and timetabling allows for seamless transitions both in and out of the program based on ongoing assessments and specific educational requirements.
The students selected for this program must showcase continuous proficiency in Mathematics, along with robust independent learning skills and perseverance. The program aims to further enrich students' mathematical abilities, fostering accelerated progress through tailored instruction.
