How you can support our school and P&C:

Your P&C loves hosting fun activities for our school community, and providing financial assistance to various school departments and initiatives. However, what we can offer each year is directly related to the number of families that can volunteer to do "Just one thing". Without ongoing support and commitment from families, like yours, what can be offered each year is limited.

    Volunteer:
Together we can make a difference, so we encourage you to register your expression of interest for 2023 via our sign up register. As opportunities arise during the year someone from the P & C will be in touch. You do not need to be a member of the P & C to support and participate.

    Attend meetings:
This is your opportunity to receive updates from the P&C Executive Team and the school Principal, participate in discussions about our school, and where P&C committee members can vote on decisions.

Our meetings are advertised in the school newsletter and our P & C Facebook page. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please feel free to view the minutes from our meetings, which can be found via the links on the right hand side of this webpage. To read other P&C documentation please refer to the P & C Qld External link.

    What your P&C do:
  • Operate two P&C owned business units - The Broadie Bite and the Uniform Shop
  • Host fun events for students (pending volunteer support) - eg. Colour Explosion Runs, Prep Teddy Bear Picnic, etc.
  • Host fun opportunities for parents/carers in our community to connect (pending volunteer support) - eg. Trivia nights, Ladies lunches, etc.
  • Provide financial support to a vast number of initiatives and projects, such as:
  • Financial contributions to the school's Family Connect Program (family support)
  • Financial contributions to large school projects - eg. Playgrounds, handball courts, etc.
  • Financial contributions for classroom resources - eg. Readers for all Preps
  • Subsidised transport costs for students to attend events - eg. Sporting carnivals
  • Financial assistance for resources and equipment for the HPE department - eg. Sports kits for all classes, portable goal posts, laundering of sports uniforms, etc.
  • Financial assistance for the Music department to purchase and maintain equipment and resources - eg. Sheet music, instruments, ensemble uniforms, etc.
  • Facilitates Sustainability initiatives - eg. Bread tag collections, staff marker recycling, and 'Bag it for Broadbeach' recycling eligible 10c containers (School Scheme ID: C10209192)
  • Hosts regular P & C General Meetings for all members of our community to attend.
