Renting – Tenant Rent Relief

Tenants Queensland and the Australian Government have confirmed there will be no evictions during COVID 19.

If you are experiencing financial distress and are unable to pay rent, it is strongly encouraged to discuss.  Alternate arrangements with Real Estate Agencies and Landlords.

Rent Assistance is an extra payment from Centrelink, you are automatically eligible if you are renting and are receiving Family Tax Benefit (More than the base rate), Job Seeker, Parenting Payment and more.

COVID 19 Rental Grant

An emergency Rental Grant is available from the Queensland Government for renters who have lost their job due to COVID 19, are still waiting for a result from Centrelink and have no other means of financial assistance. The Grant is up to $2000 for 4 weeks of rent.
