Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package

Early childhood education and care services will not be charging families till the end of the 2019-20 financial year. These services include Centre Based Day Care, Family Day Care, Outside School Hours Care and In Home Care, and will be able to remain open given they receive the relief package. Services can opt out of the relief package and choose to remain closed.

If your child’s care service has closed you can enrol your child in a new care service, whether your family is eligible for the the Child Care Subsibly or not. However, priority is given to essential workers, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and previously enrolled children.

Additionally, only one parent must be an essential worker to receive priority.
